Mark your calendar with these Ottawa Christmas markets this season:
Nov. 15: Beechwood Night Market At Mackay
Enjoy live jazz while you enjoy local food, craft beer, wine and browse local artisans! This market is free to attend and you’ll find it at 39 Dufferin Road.
Nov. 15-17: Manoir de la Forêt Marché de Noël
Nestled in the middle of a maple forest in Cantley, Québec, this event space is opening its doors for a festive market. Entrance is free and they’ll host a variety of local artisans to browse.
Nov. 16: Russian Christmas Bazaar
The Russian Christmas Bazaar is hosted at Cathedral of Blessed St. Xenia of Petersburg and offers unique Russian-European gifts, including matroshki (nesting dolls), hand-painted Christmas ornaments, beautiful Russian shawls, and many other items. You can also try classic Russian meals like Borscht, Pirozhki, Pelmeni, Vareniki, Cabbage Rolls, and more! Enjoy the festive atmosphere with a traditional Russian bistro lunch. Warm-up with our homemade borsht, pirozhok, dessert, and coffee/tea for only $10.
Nov. 16: Mistletoe & Ivy Handmade Market
Head to All Saints event space for this market featuring lots of local goodies. The market is put on by Grow Studios. Since 2008 they have been creating beautiful products with people who have barriers to employment. When you support this market you’re getting a meaningful purchase and also increasing opportunities for people with exceptional needs.
Nov. 17: Annual Holiday Craft Fair
The Canterbury Community Association will host over 80 vendors for their annual holiday craft fair. It’s taking place at the Canterbury Community Centre and there is free entrance and free parking. Browse through a variety of homemade and handcrafted items at this Ottawa Christmas Market.
Nov. 17: Old-Fashioned Christmas & Outdoor Artisan Market
This Christmas market at the Goulbourn Museum is free to attend and features lots of vendors selling an array of handmade gift items including heirloom preserves, chocolates, baked goodies, natural soaps and candles, toys, pottery, woodwork, jewelry, textiles, and more! You can also write letters to Santa, pose for a photo with him, enjoy holiday music, seasonal drinks, roast marshmallows on a fire!
Nov. 17: Atrium Winter Craft Market
Freewheeling Craft is partnering with the National Arts Centre to fill their atrium with talented artists, makers and designers. The event is free to attend.
Nov. 23: Vintage Holiday Pop-up
The Westboro Legion invites you to their vintage holiday pop-up. Admission is $2 and it goes towards the Westboro legion. There will be 20 Local vendors selling vintage clothing, accessories, home decor, collectables, handcrafted giftware and more!
Nov. 23: Holiday Bazaar
Head to Ritchie Feed & Seed in Richmond for this annual holiday bazaar. There will be over 100 vendors in their heated garden centre. There will also be a free bird seminar and food truck on site. Admission is a non-perishable food donation for the local food bank.
Nov. 24: Handmade Haven Holiday Market 2019
Make your way to Barrhaven for this Ottawa Christmas Market at Stonebridge Golf Club. There will be 35 vendors selling local and handmade goods. Entrance is $2 and a portion of proceeds will be donated to Toy Mountain. There is also free parking.
Nov. 24: Tudor Hall Christmas Craft and Gift Show – Shopping Extravaganza
Head to Tudor Hall at 3750 North Bowesville Road to browse over 100 local artisans, crafters and vendors at this Ottawa Christmas market. Admission and parking are both free and there will also be free door prizes.
Nov. 24: A Herb Garden Holiday Pop Up Shop
This is sure to be one of the most stunning Ottawa Christmas markets because it’s held at the Herb Garden in beautiful Almonte for a holiday pop-up under this venue’s twinkling lights. Check out my Almonte guide of things to do while you’re there.
Nov. 28-Dec. 1: The Museum of History’s Christmas Market
Visit the Museum of History for their annual Christmas Market. There will be more than 80 exhibitors in there Grand Hall offering treats, handmade goods, decorations and more. Admission is free and there will also be free coat check.
Nov. 29-Dec. 22: Ottawa Christmas Market
Of all the Ottawa Christmas Markets, this is the one I am most excited for because I will be there with a booth for Ottawa Lifestyle 😀 I’ve teamed up with local business, Maker House Co for a Maker House X Ottawa Lifestyle booth. Stop by and say hi and browse our Ottawa Lifestyle apparel and Maker House’s selection of goods like ornaments, whiskey maple syrup and more! You can get full details for the market in my guide here. Nov 29: Christmas in Old Aylmer
Head to Old Aylmer for a European-style Christmas market full of local Outaouais vendors. There will also be a Christmas parade on Nov. 30th at 6:00 pm. Explore the market then catch the parade go by.
Nov. 30: 613Christmas
Taking place at the Carleton University Fieldhouse for 613Christmas by 613flea. Among the makers will be 613flea’s favourite vintage, antique and clothing vendors.
Nov. 30: St. Andrew’s Scottish Tea & Christmas Bazaar
Head to St. Andrew’s Church for this Ottawa Christmas market and Scottish high tea. Browse a vast selection of hand-crafted gifts, art collectibles, attic treasures, jewellery, linens, books, baking, jams & preserves! Make a bid at the silent auction then relax over a cup of tea and a tasty treat with friends.
Nov. 30: Hintonburg Artisan Craft Fair
Visit the Hintonburg Community Centre for a day of holiday shopping with local craftspeople and makers! There will be handcrafted items, bake sale, music, and a hot chilli lunch.
Nov. 30: 4th Annual Catmas Craft Fair
Head to the RA Centre for the 4th Annual Catmas Craft Fair by Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue. There will be lots of vendors, a bake table large raffle basket and they’ll be accepting food and litter donations. Admission is $2 per person. Children under 12 are free!
Dec. 6: Carp Farmers Christmas Market
Head to Carp for the Christmas version of the Farmers Market. Browse local vendors and enjoy festive fun! Check out my guide of things to do in Carp while you’re there 🙂
Dec. 6-8: Holiyay Freewheeling Craft Market
Head to the Shaw Centre for the Holiyay Freewheeling Craft Market featuring over 125 local artisans and makers. Check out the interactive art features, sip on seasonal local cocktails, groove to DJ sets and live music, finish your shopping off with a gift wrap station!
Dec. 7: Wakefield Christmas Market
This 7th annual Christmas market takes place at Centre Wakefield La Pêche and will host over 70 vendors, live music, bonfires, mulled wine and lots of holiday cheer! Check out my guide of things to do in Wakefield while you’re there!
Dec. 7: Craftalicious 2019
From textiles, treats, childhood toys, soaps, candles and more, there’s lots to browse at this Ottawa market. You’ll find it at Knox Presbyterian Church on Elgin Street.
Dec. 7: Cumberland Christmas Market
Visit the Cumberland Farmers Market and discover over 90 vendors selling everything from locally prepared foods, breads, sweets, unique crafts, artisanal goods and more.
Dec. 7: Ukrainian Christmas Bazaar
Head to rt. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Shrine for this Ukranian Christmas Bazaar featuring Ukrainian food, gifts, books, cards and more.
Dec. 8: Beechwood Winter Marketplace
Browse locally made and unique artisan goods at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre.
Dec. 14: Metcalfe Farmers’ Christmas Market
Visit the Metcalfe Farmers Market at the Greely Community Centre to browse the local vendors before Christmas.
Dec. 15: Capital Pop Up! Holiday Edition
Taking place at the Glebe Community Centre, there will be 50 artisans and food makers to browse! Entrance is $2 or pay-what-you-can and will be donated to CHEO along with raffle ticket sales.
