Sweet Fall Treats in Ottawa
Churros and Apple Cider
Head to Log Cabin Orchard for some fresh baked goods and churros. You can also grab some hot apple cider to enjoy at their bonfire on weekends. This apple orchard is a great spot for apple or pumpkin picking. I always make sure to bring home some fresh apple cider with me. You can also pick your own apples and pick your own pumpkins here or another local farm and take them home to make your own recipes.
Head to Flapjack’s Pancake Shack for these delicious fall creations. This is the perfect spot to head for Canadian comfort food. My go-to is the panwich but these apple pie pancakes look incredible!
Head to Maverick’s Donuts for a fall treat in Ottawa that’s sure to satisfy your pumpkin spice cravings. They also have fun flavours like pecan pie. Get an assortment to try a few flavours. They have locations all across the city making it easy to stop by after an adventure.
This board was all about taking our s’mores next level. Mix and match to make your favourite combinations. My favourite combo is maple cookie smores but get creative with different cookies, chocolate, and more. Interested in more ideas to add to your board? Check out this post on s’mores hacks.
Now is the perfect time to head to a winery for a flight. Enjoy an old favourite or try something new. One of my favourite wineries to visit in Kin Vineyards in Carp. You can get a full guide to
Head to The Merry Dairy in Hintonburg for some awesome fall treats in Ottawa. You can get creative ice cream flavours here including pumpkin cheesecake! They also have vegan ice cream. Afterward, take a stroll through Hintonburg. There’s lots of fun businesses to explore.
Carp Custom Creamery always has fun seasonal flavours. Stop by for a cone and you can even bring your dog for a puppy cone. Check out my guide to Carp to make a full day out of it or you can also visit Almonte nearby.
Head to 1000 Islands for some delicious cider at BUSL Cider. I recommend getting one of their flights so you can try a bit of each. They have lots of great flavours like apple, peach, haskap and more. Enjoy it on the rocks overlooking the orchard. Make a day or roadtrip out of it with this guide to 1000 Islands.
Pumpkin Brownie
I had the most amazing pumpkin brownie from Hidden Goldmine Bakery. You’ll find it in Marmora, a perfect spot for a day trip or road trip. You’ll find it about 2 hours away from Ottawa. This bakery also had fall treats like pumpkin cheesecake muffins, fresh apple pies, pumpkin spice tea lattes and more. I visited it on my way back from the Festival of Smalls. There’s plenty of other things to check out while you’re on your way back.
